Unfortunately at this time I can not access an image of the actual diagram. These are some of the images I used for the work, as well as the rough draft of the timeline that I created tracking the year between the first Lisbon sister's death and the final four deaths. I created a large timeline that was in the style as though it was the youngest Cecilia Lisbon's diary which is featured as a main source of information into the lives of the sisters in the movie. It was interesting to map the decline and ultimate end of the sisters' lives. It was also fun to begin drawing and writing as if i was a 13 year old again.

Diagram A Movie: Virgin Suicides
Unfortunately at this time I can not access an image of the actual diagram. These are some of the images I used for the work, as well as the rough draft of the timeline that I created tracking the year between the first Lisbon sister's death and the final four deaths. I created a large timeline that was in the style as though it was the youngest Cecilia Lisbon's diary which is featured as a main source of information into the lives of the sisters in the movie. It was interesting to map the decline and ultimate end of the sisters' lives. It was also fun to begin drawing and writing as if i was a 13 year old again.
Final Project: Suitcase Doll House
My final project was creating a doll house or play house within a vintage suitcase. My goal within this work was focused on the effort of creating the space not purchasing things in order to create a space. It would be easy, simple and more polished/put together if the accessories were store bought. In my work i used found fabric, found wood and paint to create the accents of the home. Bunk beds made of fabric and wood scraps from a previous project, stairs made from a cut down strip of wood found in the wood shop. Things can be bought but what can be hand made from what is around us is important to recognize in this piece and important to me as an artist in a society that purchases over reusing or repairing.
Work Laid Out
The works laid out and mixed together of gravity, cardboard, scratching, wood, transparent, sewing, sandpaper, tape, erase, fabric, water.
Quite a few of the works I did within the quick challenges were different from each other but at some point followed the same hand made DIY theme. Some of the main media that I used was paper, acrylic paint, fabric and thread. I think my most successful of the works is my fabric portraits. My favorite of the challenges is the transparency women. One of my first pieces from the challenge gravity was an image of my dog jumping, although i think the image was successful I did not continue to use photography as a way of completing these challenges, I did not like the way of documenting with it.
Found Objects: Responses
Hotel Room Key Tapestry
Fake Mustache Tapestry
Guitar Pick Tapestry
Tiny Envelope Ink
Film Canister Ink
Lid Ink
Contact Terrarium
Business Card Terrarium
Terrariums
With the found objects I began to think of things that could be placed within a home, arrangements and pieces that looked as though someone bought handmade goods or created them through DIY projects. Using useless, discarded objects to decorate a home in an appealing or hip fashion seemed appealing. We collect many things, objects with false or hopeful values to place into our living spaces, which lead me to the thought of what happens when things are made for the home with obvious lack of value. Does garbage gain nostalgic value through its depiction or use?
